How Can We Coffee Lovers Express Our Thanks To The Growers?

Postby whindbagg » Wed May 16, 2012 4:16 pm

Hi,

I would like, first of all, to say it is nice to be back here buying beans and communing with all of you, the brotherhood of the bean once again, after my year and a half hiatus.

While I really enjoy the snapshots Tom posts of the cultivators and their workers, and rightfully so, I wish there was some way that we, the end users, could thank these folks directly, and convey to them the appreciation we have for their hard work and skill in making available to us such great harvests. This would be in the interest of closing the gap between the end user and the grower, letting them know how we hold them in great esteem and high regard.

What could be done? Any ideas? What say you?

Thanks muchly.

Keep buying their coffee! Keep informing your neighbors where good coffee comes from. There are coffee related charities, Sweet Maria's lists a few we support at the bottom of our main page. You can also purchase a soccer ball from us which helps us support our soccer ball give away program to the kids of farmers--
